Edo Civil Society Organisations (EDOCSO) March Against Increment In Price Of Petroleum Products
The peaceful protest began today Monday 30th January 2023 from the office of NUPRC Benin office formerly known as DPR in delta crescent off Ikpokpan road Benin city.
Members of EDOCSO and other angry citizens in large numbers moved the procession from the start point through Sapele road to the city centres, and marched through other major streets, sensitizing citizens on the need to join the movement to demand a proper regulation of petroleum products monitoring and the dispensing at the official pump price of N165.
The movement frowns at petroleum marketers, both major and independent who would prefer to sabotage the system by dispensing the product to black marketers instead of selling to direct consumers
Today’s outing was well coordinated, peaceful and successful with many lessons gained in its course.
Day two of the protest continues tomorrow, 31st January 2023
